Did you know? Domestic Violence occurs among all races, ages, social economical classes, religious affiliations, occupations and educational backgrounds? One in every four women will experience domestic violence. 85% of DV victims are women.
The reason that I am sharing this information today… Is because next month October is Domestic Violence awareness month. It seems that we have been told lately that people do not want to hear about it. They do not feel it is a problem in our community. Well folks, It is. Did you know that children alone last year that Crossroads Served 1395! ONE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED AND NINTY FIVE KIDS we served last year. This problem is real. This problem needs our help. We must stand up and tell the world that just by “keeping quiet” does not make this problem go away!
Please join us in October at our events to spread the word about Domestic Violence and hopefully people can realize that Crossroads Crisis Center is there to help them out of bad situations.
